Pupil Leadership

At the Aquila School, we believe that every pupil has the potential to be a leader.

That is why we promote pupil leadership roles and events throughout our school.

The Benefits of the Roles

Pupil leadership roles help pupils to:

Discover their strengths and passions

When pupils are given the opportunity to lead in different areas, they can discover their strengths and passions. This can help them to make informed decisions about their future education and career.

Develop their talents and abilities

Pupil leadership roles provide pupils with opportunities to develop their talents and abilities. For example, a pupil who is passionate about music may lead in the school choir or band. A pupil who is interested in technology may lead our First Lego League robotics team.

Make a difference in their school and community

Pupil leaders have the opportunity to make a real difference in their school and in our community. They can organize events to raise money for charity, volunteer their time to help others, or advocate for causes that they care about.

Opportunities and Programmes

At the Aquila School, we offer a variety of pupil leadership roles and events.

Pupils can serve as peer mentors, school newspaper editors, class representatives, pupil council members, or Chair a committee. They can also participate in leadership programs such as the Model United Nations or the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award.
