Duke of Edinburgh's International Award
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

The Award's Framework
Bronze
Year 9 and above and will be aged 14 before the 31st August
- Registration to the International Award
- Access to the Online Record Book (ORB)
- A comprehensive first aid course, valid for three years
- Two, two day expeditions
- Loan of necessary equipment (including tents/sleeping bags) and insurance
- Transportation to the expedition sites
- An International Award tee shirt
- A certificate and badge upon completion of the Award
Silver
Year 10 and above and will be aged 15 before the 31st August
- Registration to the International Award
- Access to the Online Record Book (ORB)
- A comprehensive first aid course, valid for three years, for those completing direct-entry Silver
- Two, three day expeditions
- Loan of necessary equipment (including tents/sleeping bags) and insurance
- Transportation to the expedition sites
- An International Award tee shirt
- A certificate and badge upon completion of the Award
Silver
Year 10 and above and will be aged 15 before the 31st August

- A comprehensive first aid course, valid for three years, for those completing direct-entry Silver
- Two, three day expeditions

Gold
Year 12 and above and will be aged 16 before the 31st August
- Registration to the International Award

- Two, four day expeditions
- A 5-day minimum residential
- Loan of necessary equipment (including tents/sleeping bags) and insurance
- Transportation to the expedition sites
- An International Award tee shirt
- A certificate and badge upon completion of the Award
