Pupils at The Aquila School are celebrating their International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP) results, marking the culmination of years

Pupils at The Aquila School are celebrating their International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP) results, marking the culmination of years of dedication, resilience and academic ambition. The results reflect the commitment of our pupils, the expertise of our teachers and the unwavering support of families throughout every stage of their IB journey.

This year, 21 pupils completed the IB Diploma Programme and the IB Career-related Programme.

Our Diploma Programme pupils achieved an average score of 34.4, significantly higher than last year's global average of 30.6, with our highest score coming out at 39 points. The Diploma Programme achieved a 100% pass rate, while our Career-related Programme pupils also celebrated a 100% pass rate, reflecting the dedication and success of every pupil across both IB pathways.

The Career-related Programme pupils also celebrated excellent outcomes, demonstrating outstanding achievement across their chosen career pathways while successfully completing the academic and personal development elements of the programme.

"We are immensely proud of the achievements of our IB Diploma and Career-related Programme pupils. Their results reflect years of hard work, resilience and ambition, and are a testament to the strength of our learning community. I would like to thank our dedicated teachers and supportive families, whose encouragement has been instrumental throughout this journey. We congratulate every pupil on this important milestone and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make as they take their next steps with confidence and purpose." - Wayne Howsen, Principal.

The International Baccalaureate programmes challenge pupils to think critically, embrace global perspectives and develop the knowledge, skills and attributes needed to succeed beyond the classroom. At The Aquila School, part of International Schools Partnership (ISP), pupils benefit from a Learning First approach that combines academic excellence with opportunities to build confidence, character and a lifelong love of learning.

Rory Galvin, Director of Learning at International Schools Partnership (ISP), said:

"This has been an exceptional year for our IB graduates. They have navigated uncertainty with resilience, determination and maturity, while meeting the high academic expectations of some of the world's most rigorous pre university programmes. The IB's mission, which aligns closely with ISPs, is not simply to develop successful pupils, but compassionate, internationally minded young people who are ready to contribute positively to society, and our graduates have embodied those values throughout their journey. We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved and have every confidence they will go on to make a meaningful impact in the years ahead."

“Our inaugural IB cohort has achieved an outstanding set of results, with a 100% pass rate across both the IB Diploma Programme and Career-related Programme, alongside an impressive average Diploma score of 34.4 points. These outcomes are a testament not only to the academic ability of our pupils, but also to their resilience, determination and commitment throughout the two-year programme. As our first graduating cohort, they have helped establish the culture, traditions and high expectations that will shape Sixth Form at The Aquila School for years to come. I am incredibly proud of everything they have achieved and look forward to seeing the impact they will make as they embark on the next stage of their journeys.” - Arran Elmes, Head of Sixth Form.

Celebrating Individual Success

Among this year's graduates is Divit Lotlikar, who completed the IBDP, achieving (38) and will be progressing to study International Business, Finance and Economics at the University of Manchester, UK. He credits his Teachers, school Community and Family Support with helping to make this achievement possible.

Among this year's cohort is Aurelia, one of The Aquila School's very first pupils, who joined the school eight years ago. As she graduates, Aurelia will begin the next chapter of her journey studying Business Management at Durham University in the UK, reflecting both her hard work and the strong foundations built throughout her time at The Aquila School.

These accomplishments demonstrate that success at The Aquila School extends far beyond examination results. As part of the ISP family of schools, we believe Amazing Learning happens when pupils are encouraged to be curious, reflective and ambitious, developing the knowledge, skills and confidence to thrive at university, in their careers and beyond.

Looking Ahead

As our graduates prepare for the next chapter of their journeys, whether at leading universities, in higher education, apprenticeships or professional careers, we congratulate every student on their achievements. Their success reflects not only years of academic dedication but also the resilience, confidence and global perspective they have developed during their time at The Aquila School. As part of the ISP community, we are proud to celebrate their accomplishments and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make in the future.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026 on this significant milestone. We wish every graduate continued success as they take the next exciting step in their learning journey.
